Arif A. Syed

Founder and Attorney

Arif A. Syed is the founder of The Law Office of Arif A. Syed, PLLC. He advises individuals, families, professionals, and business owners on U.S. immigration and federal tax matters, often where the two overlap.

Mr. Syed began his legal career in Pakistan before immigrating to the United States. After relocating to the U.S., he earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.

He is also an Enrolled Agent, a credential issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury that authorizes him to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. This combination allows him to assist clients with immigration and federal tax matters involving family, business, investment, or cross-border considerations.

His work includes family-based immigration, naturalization, investor and business-related immigration, IRS and federal tax matters, and business formation guidance. Mr. Syed serves clients from a wide range of backgrounds and provides legal guidance in English, Urdu, and Hindi.

Community Involvement

Outside his legal practice, Mr. Syed is active in Houston’s diverse community, including its Muslim and Pakistani-American communities. He currently serves as Associate Director of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston’s Bear Creek Islamic Center, also known as Al-Mustafa, and is involved with the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston.

Kulsoom Syeda

Paralegal

Kulsoom Syeda is a paralegal and law student who supports the firm’s immigration clients under attorney supervision. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston and assists with client intake, document organization, case preparation, and communication.

Kulsoom is not licensed to practice law, and all legal advice and representation are provided by a licensed attorney.
